So you want to be a consignor

So you are interested in consigning...WELCOME ABOARD!  We are looking forward to having you join us as we set SALE on our upcoming EVENT! Let's get you started. Here is a brief overview of the steps...

Get Registered!

You will find a "New Consignor Registration!" button below. Make sure your name, address, and phone # are accurate, as this is our means to get you your check.

  • There is a non- refundable registration fee of $15.  This fee helps cover location costs, advertising, insurance, fixtures, and other sale supplies.

Supplies Needed

 

  • Wire Hangers ONLY (FREE at Local Dry Cleaners like George's Cleaners in Lancaster or order supplies through us with pre-order supply pickups.  Keep updated via email list or social media to sign up for supply pickups.)
  • White Card stock 65lb (Card stock Only! Regular paper tears easily and tags get separated from their items. Items without tags don't sell!)
  • Safety Pins or Tagging Gun
  • Tape (Packing/ Scotch/ painters)
  • Zip ties
  • Plastic Bags (various sizes): to group items for sale
  • Rubber Bands

Gather Items

Check throughout your home for items your children have outgrown or no longer use.  Places like the hall closet, garage, kitchen, linen closet, bathrooms, family room, etc. are often overlooked.  Remember the more you sell the more you can earn! 

Item Entry

We recommend grouping your items by size, gender and type before you start.  We also recommend having clothing hung and made into sets before entering.  Our simple drop-down menu will make entering simple if you can keep a majority of the fields the same each time. 

Pricing & Tagging

 Pricing your items:

  • Minimum price on any item is $2.00 increase and increase by $0.50 increments. Meet this minimum price by grouping same sized items together.
  • Here are some tips and guidelines we hope you find useful:
    • Tip #1 - Price your items as if you were the buyer and not the seller. Ask yourself, "How much would I pay for this?"  Price To Sell! 
    • Tip #2 - Group similar items together.
    • Tip #3 - Price low those items you prefer not to take home with you.
  • Discount:  You have the option to discount your items for 50% off Sunday.  If you plan to DONATE your item please make sure discount.  If your not planning on bring it home why not try and make something!
    • Many of our shoppers on 50% off Sunday only shop for the stars, which means your remaining items you didn't discount are missing out in the sale! Take the chance to earn the most...discount!
  • Choosing a Price
    • When selecting your price for the item, think of the very least you would consider taking for it and that should be your price. If you can’t take half that amount, then do not select the half price option for that item.
    • Do not let the half price issue affect your regular selling price because it simply makes the regular selling price too high. 
    • Consider this a great opportunity to clean out closets and kid’s rooms. Do not let your time and energy go to waste by not selling everything you put in the sale. Price it to sell!
    • Our shoppers come for the amazing deals! When they find quality items at a great price they share that with their friends...word of mouth is the BEST form of advertisement!
    • Presentation Matters!!! Run the iron quickly over each piece, take the little extra time to button all buttons, zip zippers, etc.

Tagging your Items:

  • Enter your items: Login to your Consignor home page and you will find all the links you need to get started.
    • If you are a NEW Consignor you will click on "Work with Active Inventory" this will take you directly to the tagging system.
    • IF you are a returning consignor you may want to reactive inventory from the last sale
    • Use the drop down menu at the top of the page to enter your items into the system.
    • Describe the item using brand , color, pattern, etc.in the two lines provided.  (This information helps us connect an item with it's missing tag so we can sell it!)
  • Print your Tags: Using our simple online program you will be able to print your tags from home at your convenience. Just log into your Consignor Home Page and to the left you will find a link for printing tags.
    • You should have 6 tags to a sheet of paper.  DO NOT change the scale of the image to fit more tags on a page. This size is important for the bar code to scan properly.
  • Place the tag: Using a safety pin, packing or scotch tape, a tagging gun depending on the type of item. Make sure it is attached securely.
    • Clothing: Tags on clothing should be on the left  hand shoulder/side of clothing or on the cloth tag in the neck or back of the item.
      • If using a tagging gun please make sure to use a seam.  If tagged incorrectly with a tagging gun the item WILL NOT be accepted.
    • Toys/Equipment/ Outdoor Items: Place the tag in a visible location and attach it securely with packing tape, zip ties, or safety pins. Make sure it is secure...We CANNOT sell items without a tag!
    • Books:place tag on the outside back cover with scotch or painter's tape.  This will keep the book cover from ripping when the tag is removed.
  • You can print tags as you go or you can wait until your done entering items.
  • Once your tag is printed...if you are changing a price on an item you must print a new tag.
  •   If an item is being relisted from a previous sale please make sure it is priced at least $2.00.  Anything priced less than $2.00 will be removed from the sales floor.

Reminder: Our shoppers are coming for a deal.  If you are pricing your items on the high end you are taking the risk of them not selling. Please price as you would want to pay for the item.  Remove yourself from the item emotionally.  Shoppers are not buying your memories with the item.

* List of brands is not a limited to the only acceptable brand, but a starting suggestion. Prices are our recommendation for what we have found to give you the best sell through and provide our shoppers with a GREAT deal and helping you get the BEST return!

Prep Items

All items must be clean, free of odors, hung, bagged, assembled, etc. before dropping off at the sale.  Take the time to make it look good.  The better it looks, the better it sells.  We do what we can if you miss an item, but time is limited and items will be pulled from the floor if they are not acceptable for sale. 

Tag Items

All items MUST have a tag!  Without a tag, we do not know to whom it belongs!  Clothing should be tagged so that the tag can be seen while hanging on the rack. (Exception would be in the back seem or tag.)

  • Please make sure your Tags are clearly printed and attached securely!! Items without tags CANNOT be sold!

Drop Off Items

All consignors MUST have a drop-off appointment to bring their items to sell.  You can find a link on our "Consignor" Page and on your Consignor Home Page. All items must be tagged, hung, and prepped for sale.  Please have your items grouped by size, gender, and type of item in a disposable container (example: trash bag or box).  These containers will not be returned! 

 

  • ALL items MUST be prepped and tagged for sale.
  • Please have your clothing grouped by size & gender, then rubber banded together. Have all other items grouped by category/type in disposable containers.  You will not receive these containers back!
  • You MUST have a  drop-off Appointment to drop off your items for sale. (Drop-off days: MARCH 28 & March 29, 2023)
  • Please stay in your vehicle as you pull through the drive-thru line and wait for someone to come to you. We will be with you as quickly as possible.  We will get you checked in, unload your items, and give you your pre-sale band without you ever having to step foot out of your car! It is that easy! 
  • Any item not accepted will be returned to you at Unsold Item pick up.  It will be marked with a colored dot explaining why it was not accepted.  Please go through these items before the next sale.  If they return with the same sticker we will donate it!

Pick-up

Monday following the sale. (April 3, 2023 @ 5-8pm)   Anything remaining after 8pm WILL be donated to the local non-profit charity of our choice.  We do NOT hold items after this time. 


  • Pick-up will work exactly the same way as drop-off.  Please remain in your vehicle and pull thru the drive-thru line as we will be with you as soon as possible.
  • If you find you are missing an item please mention it to the runner and make sure to write the item down on the clip board.  We do our best to deter from lost or stolen items, however, sadly it happens.  We will do what we can to locate your item if at all possible.
  • If we have items that are separated from their tags, there will be a table/rack set up for you to check if any of the items belong to you at pick up.

Your Payment

You now have 2 ways to get paid! Choose PayPal to be paid via PayPal Deposit by Tuesday, April 4, 2023. Or choose to receive a check which will be mailed within 2 weeks after the close of the sale.  Please make sure your consignor info is correct in our system so that we can avoid any delays in receiving your check.  Your check is only good for approx. 55 days! Do NOT wait to cash the check.  You will receive a fee from your bank if cashed after that point! We currently pay through bill pay and your check will come directly from our bank and is taken immediately from our account.  If a new check is needed it will take 5-7 business days to reissue you another check.
